The US Mission of the Syrian Democratic Council offered the following words on Independence Day:
“On behalf of the US Mission of the Syrian Democratic Council, we would like to congratulate the people of the United States of America on their Independence Day.
As the United States celebrates its independence, the Syrian Democratic Council acknowledges our mutual commitment to peace, equality, liberty, and justice, and a world free from terror. Our military has fought with the aid of the United States against global terrorism, and on Independence Day we celebrate the victories we have won for those formerly living under extremism and the threat of violence. We reaffirm our commitment to building upon the good work that has been done.”
